1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and The Labour's Adda ("we", "us", "our"). They apply when you visit our website, use our mobile app, create an account, book a service, or buy a product through us (together, the "Platform").
By using the Platform you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. About The Labour's Adda
The Labour's Adda is an online marketplace. Through the Platform you can discover and book service professionals (such as electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, AC repair and cleaning experts, and contractors), book laboratory tests offered by partner labs, and buy goods from marketplace sellers.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law to use the Platform. If you book on behalf of someone else, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
4. Your account
- You may need to register with your mobile number and verify it with an OTP.
- Give accurate, current and complete information, and keep it updated.
- You are responsible for all activity on your account. Never share your OTP with anyone.
- Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
- One person may hold only one account unless we allow otherwise.
5. Booking services
- A booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation on the Platform or by message.
- Please share the correct address and be available at the scheduled time. Provide safe access to the place where work is to be done.
- Arrival times are estimates. Delays can happen because of traffic, weather or the earlier job running long.
- The professional may inspect the work and suggest a different scope or price. You are free to accept or decline before the work starts.
- Additional work or materials beyond the original booking must be agreed with the professional before they begin.
6. Service professionals
Professionals on the Platform are independent service providers. We carry out verification checks — such as identity and background checks — before listing them, but a verification badge is not a guarantee of work quality or conduct.
If you register as a professional, you agree that you:
- give true information and valid documents, and keep them updated;
- hold the skills, licences and permissions needed for the work you offer;
- will behave respectfully, work safely, and follow applicable laws;
- are responsible for your own tools, taxes and statutory compliance;
- will not take bookings off the Platform to avoid fees that apply under your arrangement with us.
7. Pricing, payments & cancellations
- Prices, visit or inspection charges and any applicable taxes are shown before you confirm a booking or order. Final charges for a job may change if the scope of work changes with your agreement.
- You can pay through the payment methods offered on the Platform, or as shown in your booking. Online payments are processed by third-party payment partners, whose terms also apply.
- Cancellation and rescheduling rules, any cancellation charges, and refund timelines are shown at the time of booking and in your booking confirmation. Please review them before you confirm.
- Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, within the time shown for that method.
- Offers, discounts and coupons are valid only for the period and conditions stated, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
8. Laboratory tests
- Tests are carried out by partner laboratories. Sample collection, testing and reports are the responsibility of the lab.
- Information on the Platform is for convenience and is not medical advice. Always consult a qualified doctor to understand your results or before making health decisions.
- You must give accurate patient details and follow the preparation instructions (such as fasting) provided for the test. Wrong information or preparation may affect results.
- Handling of your health-related information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
9. Goods marketplace
- Products are sold by independent sellers. The seller is responsible for the product, its description, quality, and delivery.
- Product images and details are indicative. Availability and prices may change without notice.
- Returns, replacements and refunds follow the policy shown on the product page or at checkout.
- You must not buy goods for any unlawful purpose, and you must provide accurate delivery details.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- give false information, impersonate another person, or create fake bookings or reviews;
- abuse, threaten, harass or discriminate against professionals, customers, sellers or our staff;
- use the Platform for any illegal, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
- copy, scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Platform or its security;
- upload viruses or harmful code, or overload our systems;
- misuse offers, referrals or coupons, or try to avoid paying amounts due.
11. Reviews & content
You may post ratings, reviews, photos and messages ("Content"). You confirm that your Content is honest, lawful and does not violate anyone's rights. You give The Labour's Adda a non-exclusive, free-of-charge, worldwide licence to display and use your Content to operate and promote the Platform. We may remove Content that breaks these Terms.
12. Intellectual property
The Labour's Adda name, logo, tagline "Har Kaam Ka Sahi Banda", website, app, designs, text and graphics belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not copy, modify, distribute or use our brand or materials without our written permission.
13. Disclaimers
We work hard to keep the Platform accurate and available, but it is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not promise that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any professional, lab or seller will always be available or meet your expectations. We are not responsible for the quality, safety or legality of work done by professionals or goods supplied by sellers, beyond the verification steps described in these Terms.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Labour's Adda is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data arising from your use of the Platform or from services and goods provided by third parties. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to us for the specific booking or order that caused the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that cannot be limited by agreement.
15. Indemnity
You agree to compensate and hold The Labour's Adda, its owners, team and partners harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
16. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or close your account, or restrict access to the Platform, if you break these Terms, put others at risk, or if required by law — with or without notice, depending on the seriousness of the issue. You may stop using the Platform or ask us to delete your account at any time. Terms that by their nature should continue (such as payment obligations, disclaimers, liability and dispute resolution) will continue after termination.
17. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a problem, please contact us first — most issues can be resolved quickly through our Help team. If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, the courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any right you have as a consumer to approach the appropriate consumer forum.
18. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with its "Last updated" date. If you keep using the Platform after changes are posted, you accept the updated Terms. For material changes we will try to notify you through the app or by message.
